An open-ended essay about myself? Ok, no pressure. Even though I'm shy once I get to know you, I'm not. Even though I'm easy-going, I'm also not a pushover. And well, yeah, I'm like to have fun. That's an easy one. I work really hard and have a sometimes hectic life, so when I get some time to myself to do something I want, I try to have a good time doing it.
Time to myself spent doing what I want usually includes either individually or some combination of the following: biking, sleeping, eating, drinking, watching movies, running, swimming, laughing, dancing, talking, yoga, reading, writing, hiking......

I just moved back to the Bay Area after five years in Boulder and I'd love to meet new folks. I want to check out the city more and am really interested in living there. Gotta get a job. (HIRE ME!!)

I would really love to meet someone to adventure with. It doesn't matter what part of the country or world you live in. If you want to travel and get lost in the heavy breathing and the afternoon sweat and the blowing dust of the world, just do it. Don't make plans. Don't wait. Don't postpone. Life is your beating heart and its for a reason. A beat - a reminder that time waits for no one.

As of October, I rode my bicycle 4000 miles for the summer. I went from boulder to salt lake. I then rode my bike another 1000 miles in two weeks. I passed 9500, 12100, 8000, foot passes. I camped along the way. Just added - 1800 Miles from Salt Lake City to Seattle and down the west coast.

I'm becoming interested in activism as I learn about injustice at the hands of the global economic system. I have transformed myself, I will transform others, I will alleviate the sufferring of those less priveleged. As opposed to taking advantage of being a white heterosexual male by caching away my own stash of wealth, I'm going to systematically, intelligently, and gracefully destroy the institutions, the systems, the pathways of oppression that lead to the deaths of millions of innocents every year. Farmers cannot afford to feed their children. People die from pneumonia, measels, small pox, etc... Millions die from environmental pollution, from genocide, from war. While you can practically hear the tune of denial on american streets.
The global capitalist system is one that thinks with the wallet. Ethics and morality are taken in the wind of the huffing and puffing greed of the pigs at the trough. A veritable paper system of resource and labor extraction where people, the environment, and deaths are externalities - only considered in terms of potential costs. The WTO, the World Bank, the IMF, the corroborating Nation States, the International Capitalist class must be regulated by the poeple. The billions. We have been marginalized. We are caged into our isolated computer garaged televisioned lives. We are laid off. We are unemployed. We are stressed and worried about survival. We are afraid to talk to strangers. Its taboo to talk openly about ourselves and the systems of oppression.

So I'm going to volunteer with the ACLU, Rainforest action network, globl exchange, anybodythatwilltakeme, be friendly to people, talk to people, live a good life and take serious action, not just bitch. I want to go to law school.

Morning is my best time of day ... and, I have finally gotten back into my old exercise routine. This is my time to begin again. Two months now happily settled into my new home on the water ... loving every minute.

My picture was taken in the beginning of 2010. I still have my natural hair color (good genes) ... and, all my own parts.

I thought I would just give this a try and see how it works. I am 6' 2" tall I like to workout when I can, so everyday except for Sunday. I go to church and help out with the Sunday school kids in the church on projects. I like to go to movies when good movies come out. I like all types of music except for Heavy Metal, sounds like a lot of nothing but someone screaming into a microphone. I like take pictures with my phone. Ride my motorcycle on nice days, and go for coffee. Going to attend school in January for photography. I am looking forward to meeting new people and taking pictures of the bay area.

I just moved to the Bay area from New York, (I live and work in Marin County). So I'm excited to explore the area and think if I have someone to do it with, that will make it even better! Even though I'm not right in the city, I have a car and I'm not afraid to use it--plus, I'm kind of going through culture shock after living in Manhattan for years, to suddenly being in suburbia, so I try to spend as much time in San Francisco as possible.

I am unable to walk w/o a wheelchair, I am now able to walk 100 ft with a helper and a walker... though my upper body strength is in great power... my legs need work.. my brain needs some work as well..LOL... the short term memory is a bit wacky but my long term memory is coming back... otherwise I am your normal good looking dude in a wheel chair who has a wild sex drive who likes to play the TOP Roll!!! I was the EMT for the crew, and I loved that extra responsability. My next step in a few months is to take on paramedic school, and end up a firefighter in the bay.

One of the types of dancing I do is square dancing. =P Yes, you heard me correctly. I square dance. I love it and I encourage everyone to at least watch it if you won't try it. It's not what you learned in fifth grade. Or high school. And it's waaaaaayyy more complicated that you ever thought. Also, the music that we dance to is pretty awesome. I have danced to country (of course), oldies, big band, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, rap, rock, and ... wait for it.... Japanese techno. That one always seems to throw people off. But we dance to everything, and it's a big part of my life. Everyone I dance with is like family to me, and it's how I've maintained connections with all of my closest friends. So if you don't want to do it, great. But it's something that I will never give up.

I also tango, waltz, salsa, cha cha, swing dance, line dance, round dance, polka, two-step, jive, and I do a very poor foxtrot. Obviously, I am a fan of ballroom. I also club dance, if persuaded sufficiently. I am open to learning any and all types of dance.

I love traveling. I have traveled the country quite a bit. I have some pretty awesome stories from my adventures, as well. =) Let's just say that long distance driving has taught me patience. Wanna go somewhere? I'm down. But it's three hundred miles away? Psh... that's nothing. =) As long as I can either blast my music or have someone to talk to, I'll drive anywhere. I've taken the train to Denver; that was fairly exciting. I've driven to and from Chicago. I can't count how many times I've driven to and from Washington state or LA.

I love animals of all kinds. I have a larger dog. He's part rot, part chow, and one of the most adorable things I have ever seen. His face seems to be eternally stuck on the textbook â??sad puppy dogâ?? face. I have had horses and goats in the past. I love snakes... we had one of those too. Tigers, wolves, dolphins... PENGUINS!!!! =D I love penguins! They are so cute! If we start hitting mystical creatures I am a fan of unicorns. Also, mermaids and vampires make the list.

If I could have any super power ability (Well, other than flying, because that's just awesome. And shape shifting; that's also pretty bad ass.) it would be to understand and speak any and every language. I have a thing for languages, I'm not sure why. If I can't understand what you're saying, then I just sit there listening, hypnotized, fascinated. If your language is a variant of American English and you have some sort of crazy accent, that's still hot.

Going to see a concert is one of my favorite things to do either to a local venue to see a friend preform or to a big one too see my favorite bands its all fun.
One of my favorite things to do is go Geocaching I have been doing if for almost 2 years found a bunch placed a few. It gets me out and about and finding new places to hike I did not even know was there.

Until recently I was a Realtor in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. However, I am now in Sonoma County managing Homeowner Associations throughout marin County. I also have a second business doing photographic restoration and special effects work (Head's PhotoTouch). Restoring photos that have seen the ravages of time gives me a sense of accomplishment and is very soothing. I also like to get out and take photos and then enhance them in Photoshop. Occasionally I'll shoot a special event such as a wedding.

I love to laugh and make people laugh. For several years I thoroughly enjoyed Toastmasters (a public speaking club) and did well in humorous speech competitions, but I havenâ??t been involved in Toastmasters for quite a while. However, I recently served as Master of Ceremonies at a Law Enforcement awards dinner sponsored by my VFW Post and was honored to be the guest speaker at my town's Memorial Day ceremony. So, Iâ??ve had my public speaking fix and should be good to go for a while.

Letâ??s talk hobbies. I used to paint (oils and acrylics) but havenâ??t done so in many years. Probably because itâ??s hard for me to set it aside once I get started, and then once I do set it aside thereâ??s the cleanup phase. Iâ??m pretty much the same way with photos, but cleanup consists of turning off the computer. Perhaps this has spoiled me. Anyway, maybe someone with an interest in art could give me the kick start I need and then pull the plug at the appropriate time. Now, you donâ??t have to be into art. Remember, Iâ??ve gone many years without dabbling in paint. A few more decades wonâ??t kill me. Wait a minuteâ?¦Iâ??m 55. A few more decades probably will kill me. Bring your paint brushâ?¦and hurry.

I also like to write short stories, poetry and humor, though I havenâ??t done much writing lately. Except, of course, for this profile which is beginning to feel like a thesis.

I enjoy target shooting, as it is a great stress relief and the targets don't seem to mind much. No hunting though. Itâ??s not for me.

As far as music is concerned, I like all kinds of music, but do tend to listen more to country and classic rock. I like to sing, mostly in the shower. I have done karaoke a few times but very infrequently. When I have done it I enjoyed it. Those listeningâ??wellâ??maybe not so much.

I moved to Novato about a year ago. I work in the film industry so I tend to move around quite a bit. Before this I spent a year in New Zealand and before that I lived in LA. I really like it here though, the weather is good and Marin has great hiking trails all over the place. The only problem is I feel a bit like I'm trapped in a retirement community. Right now I'm coming back to work from summer vacation and slowly getting used to waking up super early again. I love adventure and can be quite spontaneous, especially during the summer months when there is no schedule to hold me back. I grew up on the beach and still love to go out there every now and then. I know people who are not from the area think I am crazy, but I will still swim in the ocean without a wetsuit.
